Our beautiful restored church was shown in all its glory, Saturday, February 12, 2011, St. Damian in the winter. The restorers found showed the long process of cleaning, dirt, from black smoke, dust. They have shown the restoration work and the various techniques used for the recovery of the fresco revealed during work against the facade. The fresco, an ex-voto of Francesco Cattaneo, dated 1612, represents San Francisco and San Carlo Borromeo, topped by Madonna (which is visible only a small part) behind a beautiful landscape that recalls the places of Valsesia.Una beautiful discovery that brings even more of our church. The restoration of the Parish Church of Fara begins around 1998. First with some urgent maintenance work and then with the actual recovery of all the aisles of the church, the facade and the north facade.
